If you are a media producer in a foreign territory (outside the US & Canada): These albums are Royalty Free within the territories of Germany and Austria and you are receiving a direct license from Smartsound. Do not contact your local Performance Rights Organization (PRO). If you are contacted by GEMA or AKM and told you are required to pay a license fee, inform Smartsound and we will send you documentation to back up our claim of direct license which you may forward to them. If you reside outside the US, Canada, Smartsound is granting you a direct license, subject to the terms and conditions of Smartsound’s End User License Agreement, however, you may also be subject to the rules and practices of the PRO in your local territory.
