— SmartSound®
For Multimedia, the second product in
the SmartSound™ family of audio software
from Sonic Desktop Software, announces its
compatibility with Microsoft's Windows NT®
according to Kevin Klingler, President and
CEO.
SmartSound For Multimedia features an innovative
and powerful "drag & drop" audio environment
that anyone can use to create movie-quality
soundtracks in minutes, all customized to
the users's needs. It also includes a fully
digital, professionally recorded music and
sound effects library. "The true magic of
the software," explains Klingler, "is that
users do not need training in music or sound
editing to create their own soundtracks.
The average computer user can produce results
that, until now, have been attained only
by professionals."
Soundtracks created with SmartSound For
Multimedia can be used in multimedia presentations,
interactive multimedia, home and professional
video, live presentations, or simply as
a stand-alone sound file for personal enjoyment.
They can also be embedded in word processing
documents, spreadsheets and databases. The
software is compatible with all popular
presentation programs, and is designed to
run on Windows® 95 and Windows NT®.
Klingler, a former professional composer,
says, "Getting the 'Designed for Windows
NT and Windows 95 Logo' will clearly communicate
to Windows NT workstation users that they
can have access to some of the best and
easiest multimedia applications in the world".
What SmartSound For Multimedia does is take
care of all the musical and technical skills
that take years to learn. "Our easy to use
graphical drag and drop editing environment
complements traditional sound wave editing
technology very nicely," Klingler explains,
"giving NT users a more complete selection
of tools for customizing audio."
Sonic Desktop Software was started with
the vision of giving anyone the ability
to create fully customized, professional-quality
soundtracks. Because of his musical background,
Klingler was well aware of the level of
expertise required to operate popular music
software packages. "I realized that there
was an opportunity in the marketplace for
an audio product that could provide ease-of-use
along with high quality results for users
who want to add audio but don't have an
audio background", Klingler states.
SmartSound For Multimedia costs $199.00
and is available directly from Sonic Desktop
Software at 800-454-1900. People can visit
the Sonic Desktop Web Site, where they can
download demo versions of the products and
sample the music and audio files at, http://www.smartsound.com.
Sonic Desktop Software is the developer
and marketer of the SmartSound family of
audio software products, which include
SmartSound
Special Edition, SmartSound Showcase,
SmartSound For Multimedia, and the
SmartSound Audio Palette series of
music and sound effects library add-ons.
The company is headquartered in Chatsworth,
a northwest suburb of Los Angeles.
