Periodically the SmartSound database will lose track of a file. Before you step through the reinstallation process, take a moment and rebuild the SmartSound Database to see if that corrects the problem.<br /> <br /> How to Rebuild the SmartSound Database:<br /> <br /> <b>Sonicfire Pro 3 - Windows</b><br /> 1. Open Sonicfire Pro 3.<br /> 2. Click the "Help" menu.<br /> 3. Select "Rebuild SmartSound Database".<br /> 4. The database will show a status bar while it rebuilds.<br /> 5. Once complete, check to see if the missing file was found by opening the Maestro and searching for the title.<br /> <br /> <b>Sonicfire Pro 3 - Mac</b><br /> 1. Open Sonicfire Pro 3.<br /> 2. Click the "Sonicfire Pro" menu.<br /> 3. Select "Rebuild Library".<br /> 4. The database will show a status bar while it rebuilds.<br /> 5. Once complete, check to see if the missing file was found by opening the Maestro and searching for the title.<br /> <br /> <b>Pinnacle Studio - 9 Plus</b> or newer<br /> 1. Open Pinnacle Studio.<br /> 2. Click the "Toolbox" menu and select "Generate SmartSound Music".<br /> 3. Click the "SmartSound" button located below the third column in the SmartSound window.<br /> 4. In the resulting window, click the "About" tab.<br /> 5. Click the "Rebuild SmartSound Database" button and click "Yes" to the warning message.<br /> 6. Once the process is complete, go back to the "Generate SmartSound Music" window and search for the title of the song.<br /> <br /> <b>Ulead VideoStudio - 8 & 9</b><br /> 1. Open Ulead VideoStudio.<br /> 2. Click the "Audio" button and select the "Auto Music" tab.<br /> 3. Click the "SmartSound Quicktracks" button.<br /> 4. In the resulting window, click the "About" tab.<br /> 5. Click the "Rebuild SmartSound Database" button and click "Yes" to the warning message.<br /> 6. Once the process is complete, go back to the "Auto Music" window and search for the title of the song.<br /> <br /> <b>CyberLink PowerDirector - 4 & 5</b><br /> 1. Open CyberLink PowerDirector.<br /> 2. Click the "Magic Music" button.<br /> 3. Click the "SmartSound" button.<br /> 4. In the resulting window, click the "About" tab.<br /> 5. Click the "Rebuild SmartSound Database" button and click "Yes" to the warning message.<br /> 6. Once the process is complete, go back to the "Magic Music" window and search for the title of the song.<br /> <br /> <b>Troubleshooting</b><br /> If you do not have a "Rebuild SmartSound Database" button in your Quicktracks options window, you need to update to the latest version of Quicktracks.
