SmartSound Software was founded to respond to a very specific and rapidly growing market need. Fueled by the explosive growth of the multimedia and then the Internet industry, the SmartSound product line was created to put into the hands of the typical PC or Macintosh user the ability to add the power, impact and emotion of high quality soundtracks to their multimedia communications, projects and web sites. The founders of the company, Kevin Klingler and brothers Chris and Geoff Hufford, have deep, professional backgrounds in creating and producing music for films and television. Additionally, all three just so happen to have software industry experience, Mr. Klingler on the business side, and the Hufford brothers on the programming and technical side. From a vision to bring rich, wonderful music within the grasp of any PC user they created and patented a robust audio technology that is also far and away easier to use than any other audio software product on the market. The SmartSound Software team has gone on to create an entirely new genre of media technology, and a suite of tools to address this rapidly growing market, filling a need not currently being met with any other product. These tools are designed to bridge the gap between the current slate of audio software products and the rapidly expanding market of new video and multimedia users and authors.
