Kevin co-founded SmartSound Software in January of 1995. For 15 years he has driven the company’s strategic vision and execution to becoming the preeminent and undisputed music-for-video technology company in the video industry. Before starting SmartSound, he was Director of Operations of Dimensional Impressions, a leading Southern California CAD software company in the packaging and point of purchase display industries. He also worked for over 10 years as a professional film and TV composer, music supervisor and music producer for many top-rated TV shows, a variety of network television commercials and various films. It was this combination of creating soundtracks for Hollywood shows and films and his experience running a successful CAD software company that was the genesis for the SmartSound Software technology. In his free time Kevin has been involved with a variety of charities and still enjoys playing guitar.
Brian has more than 15 years of leadership experience bringing innovative software products to market. In the early days of the commercial Internet, Brian formed an Internet company that, in its first year, developed solutions for Lotus, a national retailer and several other large corporations. Next, Brian co-founded a company that developed a leading Internet Backup product. After getting acquired by a California company, Brian continued with the product to generate millions in revenue, winning deals with Compaq and hundreds of businesses worldwide. Brian is also an accomplished woodworker with his custom designs sold at boutique shops.
Milos has served as Senior Software Engineer for SmartSound for the last 5 years developing a thorough understanding of the company’s unique products and their technological context within the media industry. Since 1997 Milos has served as a software engineer or senior software engineer in various industries developing a wide perspective on technology engineering, which prepared him well for his role as VP. Professionally trained as a software engineer, he received his BS in Computer Science from the University of California in 1996.
Having worked on hundreds of films, television shows and recordings as a studio musician, composer, producer and music supervisor, Andy Muson has experienced all facets of the music business during his career. He has worked with a diverse roster of artists such as James Taylor, Albert King, Yoko Ono, Dave Grusin, Elmer Bernstein, The Manhattan Transfer, B.J. Thomas, Bette Midler, Toots Thielemans and Herbie Mann, to name just a handful. His broad industry knowledge uniquely positions Andy to be SmartSound’s VP of Music. Andy enjoys seeing the LA Philharmonic at the spectacular Disney Concert Hall and plays jazz vibes.
Having been with SmartSound since the company's early days, Ian is responsible for enabling SmartSound’s thousands of tracks to work with its patented technology. A meticulous approach and a good ear allow him and his team to ensure that SmartSound music will produce the most creative options and precise results for SmartSound’s customers. An accomplished and active musician, he can be found playing woodwinds in a variety of settings: musicals, orchestra concerts and jazz bands. He also does a fair amount of music copying, where past clients have included Steve Allen.
Tonja has worked primarily in customer service for small companies throughout her professional career, helping to meet customer expectations and achieve a high level of customer support satisfaction. She came to SmartSound in 2000 with over 13 years of customer service experience and has been instrumental in building SmartSound’s reputation for superior customer service. Tonja is an avid charity fundraiser, motorcycle enthusiast and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
